Description of Area
The charming town of Javea lies between the capes of San Antonio and La Nao on the most easterly point of mainland Spain on the northern coast of the Costa Blanca which has many beautiful beaches and hidden coves backed by stunning mountains. Javea is sheltered from extremes of weather by Mount Montgo, a protected nature park which is good for walkers, and has been voted "environmentally near perfect" by the World Health Organisation. Javea old town still retains its Medieval charm and the port area still has an active fishing fleet with market.
Alicante airport is approximately 60 miles/75 minutes drive from Javea with many UK based airlines offering both schedule and charter flights throughout the year including the "low cost" carriers. Valencia airport is a similar distance to the north and is also served by major airlines.
