Location Details:

The apartment is located in the heart of Testaccio, under a mile south of the Tiberine island.  It is about a 10-15 min. walk to the Circus maximus and 10 minutes more to the forum.  A number of buses and trams stop within minutes of the apartment to all site destinations.  The nearest Metro stop is Piramide, about a 10 minute walk down via Marmorata.

For those lively evening or for dining 'al fresco' you may wish to remain in Testaccio which has some of Rome's best restaurants and pizzerie or walk across the bridge or hop on a tram to Trastevere (Santa Maria in Trastevere on Map), the other vibrant, less off the beaten track area of Rome.
