variety of activities. You are welcome to wander anywhere
you wish and there are numerous walks through the woods and
fields, where, in season, you can gather wild strawberries,
raspberries, cherries. plums and apples, walnuts, hazelnuts and
chestnuts and mushrooms. Home made honey and jams are
available too.

Details:
Langeais (3,5km) has all
essential shops, several restaurants, and a market on Sunday
morning. It has a swimming-pool, a lake where you can windsurf or
spend a day fishing, and tennis courts. There are riding stables
where you can hire horses for an hour or two or for the day and
within reasonable reach. There is an 18 hole golf course. Bicycles
can be hired for long or short periods.
Tours (28 km) is a city
with good shopping, many fine buildings and a lovely old quarter.
Good food is part of the fabric of this region and there are many
excellent and reasonable restaurants in Tours, Chinon,
Azay-le-Rideau and elsewhere.
The beauty of the Loire
is legendary, with its fine châteaux and walled towns, its rich
cuisine and vineyards that produce some of the country's most
famous wines. You can visit the cellars and taste the wines of
Bourgueil, Chinon, Saumur, Vouvray and visit many châteaux and
see their treasures.
