Sun, Sea, Golf, Tennis, Relaxing ITS GOT THE LOT.
Calahonda is situated between Marbella
and Fuengirola
and is an area chiefly developed for tourism. Calahonda is
located close to several golf courses and has the typically
sun-drenched beaches for which the Mediterranean is famous. Just a
couple of kilometers along the road is Puerto Cabopino, which has
the reputation for being the most secluded and picturesque port on
the Costa and is a popular venue for tourists who want to enjoy
a good meal before taking a walk along its sandy beaches. Some of
the Coast's most popular restaurants, such as Albert's and
Giuseppe's Pizzeria, are located here.Nearby you'll discover
Miraflores, a popular golf and lawn bowls resort and then Mijas,
Andalucía's most popular white village, which is situated
slightly further northeast in the hills.
Superb food, beautiful weather, fabulous beaches, great golf
courses. Whether you are 6 or 60+ it has something for you.
We are a group of friends who each own a property on the
Costa Del Sol!
What we couldn't get our heads around was the impact
that the school holidays had on this area. The population exploded
with visitors from as far away as Iceland, Norway, Japan,
America.............. WOW!! Our growing
families enjoyed the freedom that self catering brought as well as
the savings made when; 'I know someone who has .......'was
uttered! What irritated us was the basic nature of
these 'friend of a friend' apartments. Thus our apartments were
born.
These are our refuges. We have not skimmed on anything.
Proper sprung beds, quality furnishing, even the towels are colour
matched........... and that not counting the welcome bottle of
wine!
Friends of ours feel exactly the same way: thus we are able
to offer several superior, quality apartments at a reasonable
cost.

Edificio Coral is a small development of 35 apartments.
The apartment is a short 2-minute walk away from a sporting
complex, the Aztec Centre. The beach is a pleasant 20-minute
stroll just past the shops at Riviera. Taxis and buses can be
found here.

Riviera Del Sol.
A small group of shops is a 10-minute walk away. Try David's bar
for a relaxing evening drink. A very popular bar as is the
George's bar. There are a variety of restaurants, shops and bars/
discos etc. in Calahonda, 5-minute drive away. They are good and
exceptionally popular. Mopeds can be booked from these shops for
reasonable prices by anyone over the age of 14. There is
supermarket, car hire rental agencies and ATMs. A very peaceful
and popular park and gardens surround the shops.
 The

Shopping
There are several small stores, restaurants, bars etc. within easy
walking distance. Two minutes by car / taxi / bus is a large
Supersol [similar to a small Tesco's] and a further two minutes
away a large Lidle. A well-stocked Hypermarket is 10 minute away
in Fuengirola, provides a good range of goods. It is next to
Dunne's superstore.
Fuengirola and Marbella are exceptionally good for clothes and
shoe shopping for all ages.
Just outside Marbella, a 10-minute drive away is La Canada, a
large shopping mall. Good for fashion shopping.
Gibraltar is approximately 50 minutes away.
Car Rental
A car is not vital to the enjoyment of your holiday. The beach,
bars and shops are all within easy walking distance, as is a taxi
rank [taxis are fairly cheap in Spain] and bus stops. If you want
to explore further afield there are many car rental agencies that
will allow you to pick up a car at the airport and leave it there
once finished. The apartment is an easy 25-minute drive from the
airport. Arrangements can be made if you wish, to either pick you
up at the airport, taking you directly to the apartment or to have
a car left for you.

Cabopino Harbour:
Cabopino is a short 5-minute drive away. Superb restaurant, [try
Albert’s for atmospheric dining with free evening
entertainment]. Lovely beach with sunbeds for hire, watersports,
beach bars etc. Turn right to Andy's beach bar to find easy
parking for the beach. Try some paella at the seafood restaurant
whilst overlooking the harbour. A beautiful place to while away
the hours. The beach boasts a lifeguard. Sunbeds can be hired
locally.Costa Del Golf

Mijas: Los Olivos, Los Largos, Miraflores, Marbella, Los Naranjos,
Lauro, Guadalhorce, El Parador, Alhurin, Rio Real.Guadalmina, La
Quinta, Cabopino, Elvira, la Cala.......... your choice. All
within a short drive. San Roque and Vallderama a 30 minute drive.
The problem is which one?? Golfing fees range from £25 per round.

"COSTA DEL GOLF"
There are nearly sixty golf courses in Andalucía, of which thirty
are on the Costa del Sol. The fine weather allows golf to be
popular all year round.
When the Costa del Sol experienced a renaissance as a winter golf
resort in the late eighties, the phrase "Costa del Golf"
was coined. Between 1985 and 1991, no fewer than 17 new golf
courses appeared, bringing the total along this 50 mile stretch of
coast up to thirty. This concentration of quality golf courses,
combined with the unique sunny and warm winter climate enjoyed by
the region, led to its becoming unrivalled as a winter golf
destination for northern Europeans.
