Description of Villa

Charming 2 bedroom house located just minutes away from the beautiful town of Moraira with its lovely beaches and marina. The house combines traditional style with modern comfort and facilities.

The accommodation comprises on the ground floor: glazed naya/entrance hall; living room/dining room; separate modern kitchen; double bedroom; separate bathroom with shower.

On the first floor: twin bedroom; separate bathroom; access to the sun terrace. Outside there is a private walled rear garden with sitting area and barbeque, and at the front of the property a shaded garden.

The house is built in a traditional Spanish style with a beamed ceiling in the living/dining room and beautiful tiled floors throughout the house including the attractive internal staircase.

There are ceiling fans for the summer months and an open fire for the cooler winters. The house forms part of a well-kept residence with attractive landscaping and a well-lit safe environment.

There are two communal pools for your use, one of which is gated and is very safe for young children.

Sleeps 4 - Nicely furnished accommodation with 2 bedrooms (one double bed & two single beds), one living room/dining room, kitchen and there are two communal pools for your use, one of which is gated and is very safe for young children.

Bathroom - Two bathrooms, one with shower cubicle and one 'over bath' shower

Kitchen - A fully equipped modern kitchen with a fridge/freezer, hob, oven & washing machine.

Outdoors - Outside there is a private walled rear garden with sitting area and barbeque, and at the front of the property a shaded garden. Garden furniture is included and there are two communal pools for your use, one of which is gated and is very safe for young children.

Special Notes - A weekly cleaning and laundry service is included in the price. In addition a 'starter food pack' will be waiting for you on arrival. We would prefer 'No smoking' inside the house, but outside ashtrays are provided. An 'English speaking' local agent is available and on call for emergency situations throughout your stay. The pools are regularly cleaned.

We will try to be flexible regarding dates, but all rates are based on Saturday to Saturday lettings. A returnable security deposit of 200 euros (or £150.00) is required upon arrival and will be returned at the end of your stay minus the cost of any breakages or damage to the property.

There is a selection of children's beach toys available in addition to a variety of board games, books, CD's and children's DVD's. Beach towels are not provided, and we recommend that you bring your own.

Description of Area

Moraira, Costa Blanca, Spain

The beautiful town of Moraira is located just one hours drive north of Alicante Airport, on the northern Costa Blanca, and is within a short drive of Denia, Javea and Calpe. With the A7 motorway, getting here by car is easy, and once you visit you will wonder why you have never visited before.

The adjacent towns and villages are within easy driving distance, so you will have plenty of opportunities to explore the area including the Jalon Valley and even a visit to the exciting city of Valencia - again just one hour away. The area still retains much of its traditional character, free from high rise apartment blocks, hotels and numerous package holiday deals - still one of Spain's best kept secrets!

Moraira Is a small and pretty resort halfway between Alicante and Valencia.

This traditional Spanish fishing village is only a few minutes drive from the house with its waterfront cafes and bars, marina, beautiful clean beaches and panoramic views. The fishermen still go out early in the mornings and a fish market is held daily with Friday being the principal market day where you can buy everything from souvenirs to fresh fruit and vegetables.

The village has many excellent shops, bars and restaurants. The area has one of the best all year round climates in Europe. Ampolla beach has lifeguards and children’s play facilities. Portet beach is also only a few minutes away with beautiful views and waterside bars.

Facilities Nearby: There are two communal swimming pools each with a children’s shallow end and showers just a few metres from the house. Moonlighters restaurant and bar is located at the end of the private access road. There are shops within easy walking distance including an internet cafe and several bars. There are also several large supermarkets nearby. For a day out with a difference there is a go-karting facility on the road up to Teulada.

Beyond Moraira there are many places to visit along the coast including: Javea, which has a good beach, fishing harbour, old town, restaurants and golf course; Denia, with some excellent shops on a beautiful tree lined main street; Calpe, with its superb fish restaurants near the harbour and good beaches; and not forgetting Benidorm, which boasts Aqualandia, Mundo Mar (Sea World) and 'Terra Mitica' theme park.

Inland you will find the beautiful Jalon Valley and Bernia Montain range, waterfalls, a safari park and caves.

Golf and Other Activities : Many courses are available within a short drive from the house making it an ideal base for a Golfing holiday. Moraira and Javea (both 9 holes), are just a few minutes drive away; La Sella (18) and the Ballesteros designed Oliva Nova (18) near Denia, are between 15 & 25 minutes drive away; Bon Alba & Club de Golf San Juan, just outside Alicante, are approx. 1 hour away; El Saler, ranked no.2 in Spain and no.5 in Europe, and El Bosque, no.5 in Spain, are both just south of Valencia, again just an hour away. Green fees are payable locally. Club hire available at most courses.

If you prefer fishing, excellent sea fishing is available in Moraira (tuna, dorado, baracuda, conger, blue fish, spear fish and more), the tourist information office in Moraira town can help you book.

Tennis is available at Sol Park (a few minutes walk away); horse riding/cycling is again bookable at the Tourist Information Office. There are many leaflets on local activities and! how to book them in the house.
