Description of Area in & around Mar de Cristal, Mar Menor
The house is situated in Mar de Cristal which is an up and coming area. The village has a selection of shops and restaurants and is only a 5 minute walk from the beach.
There are various markets in the neighboring villages which sell a wide selection of fruit & vegetables, meat, fish, household goods and much more.
La Manga Club is a short drive away which also offers a whole host of activities including golf, tennis and spa facilities. The club also offers an alternative choice of bars and restaurants and the whole complex is open all year round to the public.
There is a selection of shops and restaurants within walking distance but if you travel a little further afield you can find a large selection of restaurants offering national and international dishes at very reasonable prices.
The Mar Menor enjoys average temperatures of 30c during the summer months. With an average of 320 days of sunshine each year and this being one of the driest regions of Spain, it makes an ideal holiday destination in both summer and winter.
There are activities to suit all ages and these include horse riding, go-karting, tennis, golfing and a vast range of nautical sports.
La Manga club is around 5 minutes by car and this offers numerous championship golf courses, tennis courts, spa facilities and aswell as many other facilities it also has a great range of bars and restaurants. The complex is also open all year round to the public.
