Description of Area in & around Vilamoura
In addition to the beaches and excellent golf, Vilamoura has a superb marina, a casino and a wide range of shops and restaurants. There are also shops and restaurants at the Old Village which is in walking distance and a colourful land train stops nearby which will transport you to Vilamoura centre, the marina and local beaches. Vilamoura also boasts its own waterslide park. Other sports are catered for at 'Browns' where there are indoor and outdoor pools, saunas, tennis courts and restaurants.
Faro is a twenty minute drive and, inland, it is a short drive to the historic town of Loule and the Monchique hills.
