Description of Area in & around Mar Menor
There are several sailing and scuba diving schools in the nearby village of Cabo de Palos. There are also daily markets in the surrounding villages which sell a vast selection of fruit vegetables, meat, fish, household goods and much more.
Playa Paraiso has a selection of shops and restaurants within walking distance. Just a short car ride away opens up the choice restaurants to national and international cuisine at very reasonable prices.
Closeby is La Manga Club which is world famous for its golf, but it also offers a good selection of shops, restaurants, outdoor activities as well as spa facilities.
You can also find tennis courts, roller skating and a Go-kart track which are all a short car ride away. The area around the Mar Menor is relatively flat and is therefore ideal for walking or cycling.

This area is also famous for the Black Mud which is recognised as being therapeutic and is said to releive the pain of rheumatism, arthritis and many other ailments.
