Description of Area in & around Benidoleig
Situated in a quiet area near to the famous caves of Benidoleig and not too far from local amenities.
Local Area: Quiet bars, Restaurants, Distance to Local town centre 1 km, supermarket 1 km.
Location: Distance to beach 12 km (Denia Beach), Distance to Airport (between 100-120 km), Distance to local restaurants 1 km.
Benidoleig is a small village situated in the centre of the county of the Marina Alta and it is very near to the sea and has wonderful mountain sites. More or less this town has 800 inhabitants and is an agriculture place; most of the cultivation’s are citric.
From the area of Benidoleig there are superb sea views and views of the Montgo Mountain and various towns nearby. Great views for nature lovers.
Local Activities: Horse Riding ( in Benissa to 13 km), Golf ( to 9 km in C.G. La Sella in Pedreguer), Walking, Rent a Quads in Benissa ( to 13 km near the petrol station), Donkey riding in Jalón ( to 7 km), Hiking trails in Jalon (Bernia mountain), about 45 minutes by the motorway to the Water Parks of Benidorm (Aqualandia, Mundomar, Terra Mítica), about 30 minutes of Safari Park Vergel, you can also visit the coves of Benidoleig and the Valley of Ebo.
When you get to this town you should go and see the local church, in it, at the high altar there is an image of Saint Barbara. And the other thing that a visitor to this town must see is the Cave of Las Calaveras, with stalactites and stalagmites with spectacular sizes and forms. You can walk through the streets and square where you will find the fiestas the first week of August, with dances and shows and the religious festivities.
The gastronomy is very rich and basically done with natural ingredients, the home made stews as the antic and well known “Arros amb fesols i penques”.
