Nearby are the resorts of Quinta do Lago and Vale do Lobo.
Beaches
Falésia is ideal for a day on the beach with its unusual red coloured cliffs as a backdrop. You can get down to the beach at a number of points. Also close at hand is Olhos de Água, surrounded on three sides by pine-clad cliffs.
The town has its own beach - Vilamoura beach.
Gastronomy
Your visit is incomplete, as long as you have not tried the regions most delicious dishes. Naturally the Algarve's cuisine emphasises fish and all kinds of shellfish, but for those who prefer meat there is also a good selection of dishes to choose from.
