The region is situated on the south east coast of Spain. The area is one of the driest regions of Spain and boasts on average 320 days of sunshine per year.
The region also plays host to the Mar Menor which is a large salt water lagoon and is ideal for water sports. The Mar Menor also offers The Black Mud which is said to releive pain from rheumatism, arthritis and many other ailments.
This region also is famous for La Manga Club which along with many other facilities has championship golf courses.
This up and coming area has a selection of shops and restaurants within walking distance. If you go a little further afield you will find a further selection of shops and restaurants to choose from.
The Mar Menor offers many water sports which include scuba diving, wind surfing, water skiing and many more.
The area is relatively flat which makes it ideal for walking and cycling and bikes can be hired nearby. There are daily markets in the surrounding villages.
The La Manga Club is only a 10 minute drive away and offers a comprehensive range of outdoor and indoor facilities.
There is a riding stables and go cart track all within walking distance.
