This region of Spain benefits from an average of 320 days of sunshine each year and as its also one of the driest regions of Spain, its a good spot for both winter and summer holidays.
Because of the water temperatures, this makes an ideal location for all sorts of water sports. There are international schools closeby which offer all sorts of nautical activies from scuba diving, water skiing to wind surfing.
The Mar Menor is also home to The Black Mud which is said to help treat rheumatism, arthritis and many other ailments.
Also nearby is the famous La Manga Club which is host to championship golf courses, aswell as tennis courts, spa facilities and a vast range of other activities.

There is bike hire in the next village, aswell as a go-karting track. Horse riding is also available closeby.
The nearby villages have markets of varying days of the week and these provide a large selection of fruit & vegetables, meat, fish, household items and many other products.
Just a short car ride away there are many more shops and restaurants which offer national and international cuisine at very reasonable prices.
