Because of the shallow water, this makes an ideal location for all sorts of water sports. There are international schools closeby which offer all sorts of nautical activies from scuba diving, water skiing to wind surfing. Everyone is catered for - novice to expert.
The Mar Menor is also home to The Black Mud which is said to help treat rheumatism, arthritis and many other ailments.
Also nearby is the famous La Manga Club which is host to championship golf courses, aswell as tennis courts, spa facilities and a vast range of other activities.
The village is located on the edge of the famous Mar Menor which offers a whole host of water sports to suit anyone from novice to expert. The Mar Menor is also famous for The Black Mud which is said to releive pain from rheumatism, arthritis and many other ailments.
The water temperature of the Mar Menor in summer reaches 30c and so is a good spot to swim. Playa Honda is an up and coming village with a selection of shops, restaurants and a supermarket.
