Lots of recreational activities locally (seasonal). Famous 'Vendee Globe' starts in nearby Les Sables D'olonne (15 min drive).Off season is quiet.
Talmont (10 Mins drive) is the home of the historical castle of 'Richard Coeur de lion'. Many beautiful coastal towns and also islands nearby. Great area for cycling.
